Training magic. Low level'd (11, actually)

So yeah. I tried using the search function, but typing in "Magic" or "Mage" makes it go on the fritz and not find anything. At all.

I've got level 11 magic (I had 10 from doing a F2P quest, and I had some extra runes I picked up and casted the earth spell on some dark wizzards will cutting willows and picked up a magic level)

And I'd like to get 55 magic so I can use the almighty high alch spell so I can make me some money while I can (as I'm member for only 25 more days).

I looked around the forums as much as I could to find a guide for lower level magic, so bear with me.

I know as much as to wear melee armor. And to use a magic staff.

That's pretty much it!

Ah, you're talking about cursing. Well, here you go.

Whenever you cast a magic spell, even if you fail it, you still always get the base amount of experience. If you cast a whole bunch of curse spells, even if you fail all of them, you'll still get the full experience from each spell.

What you need to do is to get your magic bonus as low as possible. Full metal armor - that's a full helm, platebody, platelegs, and kiteshield, any metal will do - the stronghold of Security boots, vambraces, preferably d'hide, an amulet that doesn't boost magic (strength or defense) or no amulet, and an earth/water staff.

If you got an earth staff, get a bunch of waters; if you got a water staff, get earths. You'll also need body runes. Each curse requires 2 body runes, and 3 earth + water runes.

I suggest casting your curses on the caged Monk of Zamorak under the main stairs in Varrock Castle. He has a high magic defense, and even if you do land a curse on him, he'll recover from it very quickly.

It's one of the cheapest ways to level magic, but you'll have to do around 5,600 curses. Yikes!

If you're still a member when you hit 45 magic, then I suggest teleporting to Camelot over and over again. The downside is that laws are 300 each or more, but it'll be a lot quicker than cursing. You'd need around 1,900 Camelot teleports to go from 45 to 55, around 600-700K. If you're willing to spend that, then go ahead. If not, continue cursing.

Another alternative is to use Pest Control and spend your points on Magic. If you can play Pest Control efficiently, then this would be a practically free way to go. You don't even have to mage at PC, although it would help increase the experience flow.

Hope this helps at all.

What the above person said, but I would suggest the Monks of Zamorak where theWine of Zamorak is if you have 43 prayer. Just Protect from melee and curse at least three. Curse one as many times as you can until the spell works, then move on to the next. Also, you can bring along some law runes and air runes to telegrab the zammy wine once you hit level 33 magic, allowing for you to earn a little extra money and magic experience. If you don't have 43 prayer for protect from melee, go with the caged monk of zamorak.

There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,

and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. That

regret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new,

better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret.

It's experience.
