June 8, 200719 yr Im curious whats the difference between photoshop elements(whatever the new one is) and photoshop cs3. (apart from the giant price difference.) June 8, 200719 yr Photoshop CS3 I believe has a lot more components than elements. Elements is just the very basics of Photoshop, and lets you do things faster in some sense. However CS3 will let you customize what you do for full control.
June 8, 200719 yr Adding to what ROBOSRUS said, Elements is a watered down version specifically targeted at quick photo retouching such as removing red-eye and other easy photo tweaking. It's also bundled with a lot of the more expensive cameras. Unless you plan on seriously getting into photo or graphics work, buying either of them isn't worth the money.

June 9, 200719 yr Photoshop elements doesn't look too bad, if you want to just do some small stuff. The price isn't either considering how difficult it is to program those...
