Help, Problem with Hypercam! :(

Featured Replies

Well, I have been watching some videos on Youtube and other sites, about Runescape pking. After watching them I had the idea to try making one of my own just for fun. So I downloaded the unregistered version of Hypercam 1 from their website and tried it out. My problem is that it will only let me record approximately 10 seconds of video, and then it says I am out of memory. I checked, and that little bit of video is taking up massive memory on my computer! So I was wondering, how do I record video without using all of my computer's memory? I mean, I know that you guys who make videos with Hypercam can't possibly have that much memory, so how do you do it? Am I recording on a high quality or something? There must be something that I am doing wrong, because it is not like I have a shoddy computer. I have a windows XP desktop computer which is only a couple years old. I am really looking forward to creating a Runescape video, so any help you can give on this matter would be appreciated greatly. Thanks! :-w

I really can't get anywhere here without actually knowing your specs.

So, uh, post your computers specs please.

And by memory you mean RAM, correct? Or was it talking about hard drive space.

As Nadril said, advice will be limited without specs... the specs that would help right now is:

1) How much RAM

2) Size of your hard drive(s) (C:\ at least)

3) How much of your hard drive(s) is/are being used

A few things I can say might help:

1) Make sure you're not recording your entire screen.

2) Try lowering the quality/raising the compression

oh, never mind, I found the problem now... It was recording to the wrong place :?

Now that it is recording to my computer's hard drive memory, it works fine.
