Last Night i did my first ever barrow trip with a few of my friends. It was easier than i thought it was  Though, i want to use a inventory and armour set that will last then more than one trip :anxious:

Am i using the right materials?

What can i do to improve?

Whats the acual ratio of getting a barrow item & how to improve the ratio?

This is what i use Red D hide body

for Amulet i use Amulet of magic

sara book

blue mystic skirt and gloves

His guide is in the Archive of Wisdom.

Looking at your stats, I'd suggest something more like wearing Torag or Verac top and bottom, a glory amulet, Farseer helm, Guthix or Zamorak god book, RFD/mystic gloves and rune/mystic boots, and a god cape. Rune arrows are good. Guthan's good, if you can afford it.

Bring along in your inventory red d'hide top + chaps, a whip or dragon scimitar, runes needed, magic bow, one-click teleport or a Camelot teleport, runes and prayer potions. You don't need a magic potion, replace it wirth a prayer potion or more food.

You're pretty close to 55 slayer, so I'd say get that so you can use Slayer Dart. You'll hit 16s and get the runes you need from chests. But if you don't want to do that, then get the Chaos Gauntlets from Family Crest (pretty easy quest) and use Fire Bolt with those equipped. You'll hit 15s, one lower than Fire Blast at half the price.

You need to kill all six brothers to get a Barrows item. The kill count increases the amount of runes, coins, and racks you get. I suggest a kill count of 14-20.

At your defense level, with the right equipment (Torags/Guthans) you could get away without praying on Torag, Guthan, and Verac. Dharok and Karil always need prayer, and Ahrim might need it.

But I urge you as well to check out Saru's guide for Barrows. I'd use it myself if I were still a member. :P

I'm surprised you made it a run with that gear.

Really, the only way I can stay more than 1 run is by using p pots and guthans. Since I don't like wasting money, I just do one run at a time :P.

Quit RS, combat 104, total 1651

wow you were really risking it on that first trip. i suggest 70+ raneg at barrows, and wear veracs as armor, or wear rune armor, and have a glory for prayer bonus. obby cape or 99 capes work or a fire cape, they work best. pray only when you know you need to, after a few runs you should be good, and also remember to keep an eye on your health, and dont let it drop uner 40, and on dh, never go under 60, or just pray to be safe.

Im not sure if should melee the melee brothers though.. My friend said magic and range is perfect :-k

Sorry about all these stupid questions.. its just im a barrows N00b

You do NOT want to try to melee the melee brothers. Just mage them, their mage defense is so low that you can mage them while wearing melee armor. You can kill Karil with any of the three attack types, whatever works best for you. Ahrim should be ranged or meleed. As for prayer, ALWAYS start on Dharok and use prayer the entire time. You should go to Karil next and pray on him as well. For the other 4, you can pray or eat, whatever works best for you.

As for camping there, I would not advise doing that yet. Work on finding an effective routine to do one run at a time and then when you get familiar and comfortable with barrows, you can start looking into doing more than one run per trip.

For more detailed information, just go to the Archive of Wisdom. There are several Barrows guides there.
