June 18, 200719 yr What would be the best items to buy and things to craft? I realize there's always fast-and-expensive vs. slow-but-cheap. I'm leaning about 70% towards fast. I'm willing to spend a bit more to level faster (even if it means less total exp) but at the same time don't want to spend outrageous amount of money for something that could have been done much cheaper. So can you please give me advice? Live free or die. First option is exhausted, so guess what remains?
June 18, 200719 yr It depends what your construction level is! To start with you have no choice but to use planks and nails. Build chairs bookcases whatever. As soon as you can use oak planks switch to these (no more "you bend a nail"). Build a workshop and flatpack furniture on this. Fastest way to get planks is from Castle wars bank>Balloon to Varrock>Sawmill>Ring of duelling repeat. When you get a servant who can do sawmill runs you can send them instead. (Three oak trees right outside Rimmington portal). Teak and mahogany are slower to harvest and more expensive - put them in the tip.it calculator and compare xp gain versus cost. Hope this helps.
June 19, 200719 yr If you can build Oak Larders, then it is the most efficient way to raise your construction level. You bring all of your oak planks/logs (logs will be a little cheaper and slower) noted into your house. Use your butler to un-note the the planks (if you brought noted oak logs have him un-note them then have him bring them to the sawmill and back) This is usually done all the way to 74 construction. Both of these and cheap and fast. If you are 74 construction or higher, you should use the above method but with oak dungeon doors. This is exactly what I did to get my construction all the way to 80.
