June 21, 200719 yr I don't think paying people to plank for you will work. People will just plank their own oaks and sell on the forums for a nice price. I think you'd be best off just buying your planks off the forums if you don't want to plank them. You can plank fairly quickly by using your Butler. Take your noted oak logs, then get him to un note them, plank them, then while your building larders or whatever, send him to un note a fresh load. That doesn't work too badly. How many times can you do that before you have to pay your butler/servent? I read on another thread it was 10 trips where each trip is one bank and one to sawmill. I'm most likely wrong about this since I don't have a butler, can somebody confirm this please? June 21, 200719 yr Well I used to do that wth teaks and he rarely asked for payment. But then again my butler seems to be mentally challenged. You could also cut the logs yourself(like you said) then trade the logs/cash for somebody's planks. Just give them the logs and pay the difference with money for planks.. Simple and easy.
