I was wondering how good the object is and whether it can pick arrows up through cages?

Yes it will pick up all your arrows,knives,darts and bolts.

Ava's accumulator is COMPLETELY worth it. I wear mine all the time, even in my melee gear, as I have no metal to counteract the effect. It generates a steel arrow every couple of minutes, and picks up all arrows/bolts (which helps greatly). However, it doesn't work with attracting back your ammunition if there is something blocking you're access to the monster. E.g in the Watefall Fire Giant room, it will pick them up at the door safespot, but not if you are ranging over the table.

I 100% agree with what was said above.

 

 

 

Just a few addition benefits:

 

-- it gives very good Range bonus (+4)!!

 

-- it just looks very cool

It won't work when you range a caged monster (like Ogres on the Training Ground and such)
