Once I got 64 crafting, the message box said that a member could repair gloves of silence.

 

 

 

I know it isn't much, but at least I am trying. :)

This is true. They updated with this in the news post titled Game Improvements on 18 June 2007.

 

 

 

Gloves of silence (made from the stealthy dark kebbit's fur) can now be inspected to see how they're going after your pickpocketing fingers have been caught a few times. You can also grab some more fur to repair damaged ones, saving you a trip to the fancy dress shop.

I haven't earned any xp for repairing my gloves ... have any of you? I'd like to know for the guide.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Here is what I know so far. The operate (or check) function say this:

 

You take a close look at your gloves to see if they need repairing.

 

And follow with a status message:

 

 

 

These gloves are new.

 

These gloves are in good condition.

 

These gloves are starting to look quite shabby.

 

These gloves are starting to need repair.

 

These gloves are in need of repair!

 

These gloves are about to fall apart!

 

 

 

If you do not repair them at that point, your next pick will yield:

 

 

 

Your gloves of silence have worn out.

 

And they vanish.

 

 

 

Gloves still in your bank are unaffected, tho their status does not show as new until you start using them (a glitch presumably).
