pbjdude91
Ok, problem started when the icons on my desktop appeared smaller than normal and made everything else appear small, like runescape, which just bothered me. I grouped all the icons and thought that if I changed the graphics options (I'm pretty sure that's what I changed) it would help it. That's when the whole screen went black and I can't figure out how to put it back to normal since it's like I'm doing it in the dark. I remember I changed the graphics options to Monitor. By the way, my laptop is a Toshiba Satellite. This is my original signature. You can't touch this.
Nadril
I'm guessing your laptop has something where you can plug in an external monitor and use that. I'm not sure why it would stick on that (I assume you have tried rebooting, correct?) so my guess is to maybe try and borrow a monitor and switch it back. ClareJonsson
2 things can usually cause this: 1. You accidentally sent the output to an external monitor. Hold down the Function button (Usually bottom left of the KB) and press the function key across the top that has a little monitor symbol on it. If nothing happens then repeat the process. Remember to hold down the Fn key on the bottom left. 2. Take a very close look at the screen, is there a really faint image on the screen. If so this means that your laptop has probably developed a fault. Either the back light or the inverter has failed, and you will need to get it repaired. Good Luck, Clare.
