Where can I find this program?

Featured Replies

I like these songs I listened to on youtube (its a mixed tape) and I wanna get it. Isn't there a program I could use to record the song when it's being played and then make it into a file that I could send out or listen to?

BTW, here's the link to the vid I was talking about:

I know I have an extension on Firefox that allows me to download the video as a FLV extension, however no standard Windows media application recognizes it, so it really wouldn't help you out much...

Riva Free FLV Encoder works wonders, just change the output file extension to .mp3.

It was to both of you, really. You can use http://www.youtubex.com to download the flash videos (.flv) from YouTube, then Riva FLV Encoder to convert them to mp3s. This won't magically improve the quality, though.

You can use Tunatic (a very neat application indeed) to identify tracks as you play them.

Thanks! That helped...BUT...After I encode it and stuff the encoder thing only 'encodes' it up to only 33 seconds... the vids 8:20 long =S. And the file doesnt really change...it still the same and I can't play it with any of my music players (Windows music player, Winamp).

Your on the correct page. Just scroll to the bottom as they like to be rather descriptive. You should see:
