Quest Guide: 'What Lies Below'

Recommended Posts

I attempted to post a correction on the guide for said quest, and received this message.

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 's Ring.', 'PpJt', '0', '1183916956', '', '52036d9d' at line 34

My contribution was merely

'The Beacon Ring gives a +2 boost to Magic Attacks, and a +1 boost to Magic Defence, therefore it may be useful as an alternative to a Seer's Ring.'

In the Tips, Tricks and Notes section, and of course my name in the contribution section :P

ppjt, if you want to submit your correction, just leave out the ' in Seer's ring, then it should just be sent in. This problem can be easily solved by adding addslashes($input) in the script, shouldn't take more then a minute :).

And Jard_Y_Dooku, it's not THAT big a deal :s. Just something that slipped the mind of the creator, I'm sure he's perfectly capable of fixing it, and there is NO need to be all negative about it :S. For a minute it seemed as if you were suggesting that tipit did a horrible job, surely, it wasn't meant like that?

I know what I know and what I know might well not be what you want to know but then seeing as only I know what I know and you do not know what I know then you will not know if what I know is what you would like to know

It is THAT big of a deal... I'm not criticizing Tip.It, I'm worried someone might SQL inject and pwn their database...

  • Never trust anyone. You are always alone, and betrayal is inevitable.
  • Nothing is safe from the jaws of the decompiler.
