Guest Kickpointy
I'm trying to get a Quest Cape. The only things in my way are 57 Herblore and 65 Smithing. Here comes my questions.... 1. Is there any Herblore or Smithing Brew (or other item) that raises this skill? (My friend got Qp Cape with 61 Smithing :-k ) 2. What is the best way to level these skills? Mehrunes
you can use 2 ways to get your smithing and herblore up temporarily. 1 way is mature dwarven stout for smithing and mining (im pretty sure) and a mature greenman's ale raises your herb up 2 lvls. evil dave or whatever his name is stews from rfd will raise your skills up pretty high as well Farming is a good way to get your herb lvl up and if you want your smithing up fast use gold ore and gauntlets

Mehrunes
That is something I dont really know lol. I know that it is a random bonus the cooking guide has a little thing about it though: http://tip.it/runescape/?page=cooking_guide.htm
crow
evil stew gives random bonus, that only depends on how much of each color spice you use. (see cooking guide on tip.it) basicly: if you use 3 pportions of the spice you need on a stew, that stew will give a random bonus between -6 and +6 on the stats that are influenced by that color spice. altough, if you are willing to level up smithing and got 550k or so to start, you can easily make profit while doing so: just buy coal and iron ores, melt them into bars, sell them, repeat (gets you 50k or more profit per 1k steel bars, and the melting goes fast if you use that town with all the ghosts)
