Can Someone Make This Easier To Understand?

Featured Replies

* For special (members) Spicy Stew you need to complete the "Evil Dave : Evil stew" part of the Recipe For Disaster quest. You first need a normal stew, then you can add spices to it. Various combinations will boost some of your stats. The boosts are random, but Jagex has announced that there is a correlation between colours and affected skills (listed below, with a roughly descriptive label devised for each group). You can only use up to 3 doses of any one colour, but you can use as many colours as you like. The stat effect will be plus or minus two times the number of spice doses used. If you add 2 red and 3 brown (a total of 5 doses), the stat effect may be anywhere from -4 to +4 in a red skill, and/or -6 to +6 in a brown skill.

* red (combat): Attack, Defence, Ranged, Strength, and Magic

* orange (skillcraft): Construction, Cooking, Crafting, Fletching, Runecrafting, and Smithing

* yellow (self-improvement): Agility, Prayer, Slayer and Thieving

* brown (gathering): Farming, Fishing, Firemaking, Herblore, Mining and Woodcutting

Ok, how many of each spice do I need for the Crafting, herblore, and Smithing boosts? I just need the boosts for those 3 skills and I don't understand what I need.

When you add the various spices, i suggest u just add 1 type of spice and hope for the best.

If you add 1 dose, the best u can get is a +2

if you add 2 dose, its +4

if you add 3 of the same spice, its +6

remember these are the best values and a +6 is so rare that i've tried 150 stews and none of them worked. The same goes for the +5 as well, it only happened twice during the 150 ones i tried.

For crafting and smithing: get 3 doses of orange stews, and hope for the best, because sometimes it might increase a different skill or decrease ur skill. there is no guarantee that it will be just crafting or smithing.

The same goes for herblore, add 3 doses of brown stews and hope for the best.

*try not to aim for +5 or +6 since this is pretty rare.

Right...

According to my experience, 5 is quite common, and 6 is rare, but maybe I'm luckier.

Each 'dose' of spice will add a +-2 to the random range of boost you can have. So, 3 doses of orange spice will give a random +3, +2, +1, +0, -1, -2 or -3 to all these stats (it won't be the same for all fo them): Construction, Cooking, Crafting, Fletching, Runecrafting, and Smithing

Well... I can say I used 200 stews trying to get +6.... Didnt work :P

+5 happened SO MANY TIMES though lol...

Stupid construction >_>
