Grand Tree mistake

Featured Replies

Okay, I blew it. I was doing the Grand Tree quest and got to the final part with the king. I needed more inventory for the twigs so I dropped my scrolls. Didn't think that I would need them anymore. I knew that I needed the food and also my few runes to teleport out if necessary. Anyway, I got in and was having no luck with the demon so I teleported out. Now none of the characters will talk to me. I don't have the scrolls anymore. Is there a way to proceed or am I SOL?

just do whatever you did to get the scrolls to begin with

I tried that. I attempted to start back at the beginning and work my way through. The characters either won't talk to me or act as if I have already completed that part. I thought that if I just went down to the dungeon that glough would call the demon again, but all he tells me is to quit meddling in his affairs. I seem to be stuck in some kind of unknown state and unable to proceed.

thats a tough one... I really can't see how you shouldn't be able to fight the demon again, but i guess you shouldn't have dropped the quest items.

Look here for the quest guide and try to go back to every spot of the items you lost. If it still doesn't work, then maybe you should send a query to JAGex. Just keep going back and work from there

Thanks. I knew when I did it that I probably shouldn't, but then again I didn't expect to have to abort. I wonder if I had actually died, if it would have reset my conversations. As it is now, some seem to act as if I've already been there or won't talk to me at all. Weird...
