InkofDeath
I am currently incapable of completing this for however long. Sorry, but please read the two paragraphs. ^^ ----- I really don't wanna describe what it's about, and I do have the entire story planned out on a plot line and such. I'm doing only a short piece right now, for I can get some feedback, yes, this is a short piece, so please make points to me, or w/e you want. It's not runescape based, and the rules here say nothing about non-rs works, enjoy=) If I'm breaking any rules, please do w/e is needed.... This is a multiple piece narrative, that I will add another piece when I see fit. So here goes: Many stories start off by introducing you to a fictional 'what if', or 'imagine this' narrative. In some way to suggest a higher power, or our lives are being controlled, without a consent from ourselves, due to the fact we're oblivious to this fact. I however will not start off by telling you this. I will start off by warning you, you could be the one I'm describing, the one who face's conflicts that don't seem quite right. The one who...well continue reading, it may just relate to your current life. Lurking in a basement, that wasn't quite comforting to the soul, with the lights out, and how dried water spots remained on the cement walls, was a figure with no emotion, almost death like. The only thing keeping the worms, and maggots away was the shallow breathing, typing hands, which were pale, and probably very cold to the touch, and the blinking. Of course, I'm not saying insects weren't ready. Flies, ants, and other insect like being's were tempted to sit and wait, for they may possibly get a twelve-course meal, or some left overs. Without warning, the figure jumped out of his chair, which was torn in several places, and quite possibly mice may have lived in there at some point in time. As this figure arose from his very long expressionless marathon on his computer, which was very out of date, being it was manufactured in two thousand, making it close to 11 years old. His face was illuminated by the window, covered by towels, to keep the daylight out, for I presume light bothered him extently while he computed. This face could strike fear into the heart of the pope, or start a warm glow in the most starved child in Africa, almost able to feed off of this warmth. Although the intentions that this face dreamt about, or even re-inacted were far from the dreams that a regular serial killer may enjoy. As our figure steps up from the chair, he reaches only so slightly, when he accidentally knocks over one of his accumulated pop cans. And, as you imagine, and probably know, had just enough liquid in it, to make a splash, and send tiny droplets into oncoming furniture. Annoyed, as you may imagine, our figure hastily opens his door, which is right by his computer. With some squeaky hinges later, he attempts to find a towel of some sort in the blackness that almost plagues the walls, and air. Getting angrier by his foul luck, a finger is drawn, and by some good memory flicks on a light. Our figure, is almost blinded, for light had not touched his pupils for probably longer then twenty-seven hours or so, except for the light off of his computer monitor. With a bent back, and a flick of the wrist, a towel is quickly brought back to the scene. The liquid stands no chance against a towel, which by the way looks dull, and needs to be replaced. When, just as his muscles started to relax from that terrible light, a squeal, or a yell that sounds like it was chopped up inquires "Adrian! You better not be up, this is the sixth time!". The voice, which doesn't sound like one, if you heard a cow being painfully milked. With a grunt, and the memory of past nights, Adrian happily lies "I'm only going to the washroom, I just needed to see, mom.", with the last word being stressed more then needed. Adrian quickly walks to greet what he believes to be a tortured phesis from an elephant, that is trapped inside the body of a mom. As he stops, and looks up, a tired, yet ready to punish mother is at the top of the flight of stairs, gleaming at the new head that is looking up at her. "So, if I come down there, I will not find a computer that's on?" impatiently asked Adrian's mother. "Come check, it's not on," Adrian of course lying through his teeth on this one, playing a game of bluff. "Only because your my son, and your sixteen will I not go down. However, this is the time to redeem yourself, for I won't trust you again, if I find out later on if it is indeed on?" Scowled tiredly, and the annoyance of the painfully milked cow is still as crisp in the voice as the beginning of this lovely argument. "Ok!" Adrian stated as he was getting excited, for arguments, or anything that could turn into violence, usually excited him highly. With that Adrian's mother walks off, but not before giving that mother face, where you automatically felt guilty. Eagerly listening, he hears his mother walk back up to her room, or so Adrian thinks. Adrian who had carried the towel in his hand all along with the argument with his mother, went back to his room, which took five seconds or less, and went back to cleaning up his mess. By now Adrian forgot why he got up in the first place. He shrugs, goes back into his basement, throws the wet towel onto some of his mother's finest clothes, turns the light off, and sits happily on his computer. About 10 minutes later, as Adrian is increasingly getting agitated by something, or someone who he is dealing with, his door, that probably shouldn't be hit with so much force with how old it is, flings open. There of course, is his mother. Adrian, half knowingly knows who it is, looks up. The eyes, the expression, the hair, all contributes to why Adrian starts pleading, fast. "I...couldn't fall back asleep, mom. So, I went on," pleaded Adrian with great expression of remorse on his face. "You never came to the washroom, you have a pop going? Adrian, how could you!? I put trust, my trust, into believing you. Yet you lie to me, your mother. I don't know what to do," expressed a deeply concerned, and irritated angry mother. For ten seconds, silence is golden. Then Adrian's mother goes to speak. "I'm getting rid of your computer Adrian -" "NO!" interrupted a fierce voice, that could cut through titanium. "Excuse me? Don't yell at your own mother like that! I'm throwing it away tomorrow, and that's final. No argument. Now get to bed!" said Adrian's mother harshly. Adrian's mother had walked off to another part of the house, before Adrian could respond. Adrian thought in his head, how to prevent it, screw it down to the floor...? Lock the door...? As you guessed, nothing came to mind, that was sufficient. All Adrian could think of, was the 8 years he had sat, and stayed up long nights to be on his computer, the sacrifices he had made just to be on to go to an event that would only happen once, for sure (Later this event was planned to happen once a year). Adrian, who was lucky enough not to have his computer turned off, said the undeniable to certain websites, and chatted his good byes, but not before saying each time, although I hope she's bluffing again. With that, Adrian turns his computer off. Walks over to his bed. Flops down, and finally sleeps after a thirty-four hour spree. ------------------------------------------- Crossing through fuzz, oh no a train! Is that volleyball? Black? Purple?!?...Started by a thump, or a bang, Adrian wakes up. Disorientation is sweeping onto his mind like waves on a beach. Swaying much like a drunk, as Adrian tries to find his alarm clock. As Adrian goes to bend under the green, and quite possibly, the best looking object in his room, table, which holds his modem. He sees his alarm clock, but it's facing the wrong way. Adrian stretches to reach for it, through cobwebs, and cookie crumbs, pop spills, and most alarmingly 3 or 4 dead insects, It's either three or four because Adrian can't tell two, or three apart from each other. As Adrian nears his red, round alarm clock, it vanishes! "What the heck?!?" bellows Adrian, as he pushes off the ground in an attempt to get out from under the table, for he is in shock, and fear. But, as soon as Adrian gets out, his alarm clock re-appears, in the exact same place. Freaked out, Adrian grabs his door handle, and attempts to get out of his room, but as he grabs his battered door knob, he gets burnt. As he pulls his suffered hand from the door knob, he sees that the door know has become red hot, possible smoke coming off of the burnt flesh, burned onto the door knob. Before Adrian knows what's happening, his door is on fire. Blazing flames flicker in his eyes. His brown door, quickly becomes ash, but that's not what is keeping Adrian in a stare towards something. Something only he recognizes immediately. As this form, takes shape, it appears to be a human. A female. This human, or being, is wearing unwashed clothes, and oily hair. Dirt, or some kind of smudge, appears in almost all visible flesh areas. This person, takes balance, and as if she hadn't walked in years, she starts her path to Adrian. Who at the moment looks like he's seen brutal curelty to an assortment of animals, and humans over several years. Dazed, and confused, Adrian takes a step back. But something, something not there, trips him, with a thud, he is grounded onto his hardwood floor, that contains some very unethical stains on it, some I could not describe. "What...Who...wh-" "Do not speak when you are not asked," screamed the human, whose voice was magnified, and echoed off any surface. Even more, this voice was deep, but you could definitely make out it was female. Secretly pleading to God, to save him, to spare his life, to make this...thing go away. As Adrian pleads more in his head, the human steps closer. She steps, the floor becomes ice, with vain of ice, or snow sprouting from underneath her foot. Another step, the same effect happens, and it continues until she is six steps from her original position. an icy path, that seems like it would be calling for you, and if you came, a fate worse then death, would be brought upon you, and your family. Adrian who is horrified, stunned, and shocked, lies there. As if the human could move at the speed of light, she was right beside him, crouching, holding her knees, and crouching on her toes. Adrian stares, unable to take his eyes off her. Reasons may vary, the eyes, embroided with dark black, and purple circles, and splotches. Or the coiled hair, with oil that could even be snail slime. The missing teeth, and the remaining tooth, if you can call it one, is black. Sunken in cheeks, produces a long, terrifying face, that no being would like to look at, and nightmares for years, if you survived, that is. "Are you scared, runt? Terrified of how I'll harm you? Thoughts racing through your head?" expressed this person, in the same terrifying deep, hollow, a void, voice. Adrian tries to think what to do, nothing comes. His mind goes blank. He sees white, white that is whiter then snow, or computer generated white. "Adrian! Wake up, stop screaming, and banging, Adrian?!?" said a distance voice, that wasn't so distant, as Adrian may think it is. As Adrian begins to open his eyes, he's confronted with a blurred face, slowly, he focuses, his mother! His expression to his mother is all it takes to unravel him in his brown blankets, and even to speak "You were having a nightmare, honey. Every thing's fine, it's ok. Now honey, stay calm, relax...-" "Where is it? Where'd you put it? Tell me!!" asks a furious side of Adrian, as he grabs his mother by the arms, and stares at her with large eyes, that very well say how angry he is, for as he awoke, he saw the void in his room. The void where his computer was. This is when his memories came back lightening fast, of the night before, and his confrontation mother. "Let go of me, I'm your mother for heavens sake!" Pleads, or commands his mother in a tone that is severe, and guiltiness. "I'm sorry, but I wouldn't lie to you again without an action. I've done it this time. I want to break your addiction. You can yell at me, or hurt me as much as you want, you won't be going back on that darn thing!" wailed his mother, who was in tears by the time she said hurt. Adrian furious, but for some reason very compelled to understand, lets go. But this moment of his was very short lived. Adrian stormed through his house, most would call his house a natural disaster plus a nuclear bomb, with the walls peeling, the garbage on the ground, the food rotting in the fridge and on the counters, or tables. And more things, I do not wish to describe, because I want to keep you healthy. Adrian walked up his stairs, where he had fought with his mother last night, which reminded him, he didn't know the time. This of course just brought his dream back into his head. The disappearing alarm clock, that being, the beings features, and most of all the face of this being. Adrian had stopped at the top of his stairs to re-evaluate his dream of his. Non-sense he declared it, and put it aside in the back of his head. Adrian eventually found his way through his disastrous house, and got to his door. He went to go reach to pull it open, but not before stopping, and glancing at the door knob before touching it.
