I've been Barrowing lately and I just got enough money for my first pair of Guthans I want to know where I should use it effiectivly. I also have a Dragon Scimitar to go with it.

Also in Barrows, it helps in the tunnels, you can stay for quite a few runs.

You need to weild a shield to fight bluedragons, but you need to weild the spear (two handed), which sort of defeats the purpose of Guthans.

or you can fight the blue drags with shield

 

then when you need to heal, walk over to baby blues which cant do fire breathe, only melee, and use your spear

 

 

 

that way he can melee using his d schimy getting great str exp, then go to baby blues with spear for health

Full Guthans is a slayer's best friend. It will eventually save you millions in food and an enormous amount of time. that's why people are able to camp out at the abyssal demons for hours upon hours without the need for food or a bank run break.
