i know i need to get my ranged up, but to what level? what other skills do i need to level up

I think you could do it, just raise your range and mage up some more. And whats your slayer level? Usually people want to use slayer dart on the barrows guys

you should raise your slayer to lvl 55 so you can use slayer dart,it goes faster, and u'll be able to hit 16s when u reach lvl 60 magic (its always 10+ magic lvl / 10) at lvl 70 u will hit 17...and so on

fire blast is good enough, and you can melee ahrim. Try getting to 55 slayer for magic dart to get back runes at the ed of the trip.

Like most of the other people I suggest getting 55 slayer, but even with out it you should do fine. Just have range at 70+ to wipe out Ahrim.
