You can find a single teak tree southeast of the Ruins of Uzer. You can get to the Ruins of Uzer quickly from the flying carpet guy near the Shanty Pass gate on the desert side. There are a bunch of teak and mahogany trees in Etceteria about 5 steps away from a bank, but you can only chop from those trees once you've done Throne of Miscellania and Royal Trouble.

Mohagany can be found in Tai Bwo Wannai tree grove, Kharazi Jungle, on Ape Atoll, Mos Le'Harmless (must have completed Cabin Fever quest) & Miscellania.

 

 

 

Teak can be found in Tai Bwo Wannai tree grove, Kharazi Jungle, on Ape Atoll, near Uzer, south of Castle Wars, Mos Le'Harmless (must have completed Cabin Fever quest) & Miscellania.

Teak can be found in Tai Bwo Wannai tree grove (you need to enter with trading sticks), Kharazi Jungle (need to have started Legend's Quest), on Ape Atoll (Monkey Madness needed for this one), near Uzer, south of Castle Wars, Mos Le'Harmless (must have completed Cabin Fever quest) & Miscellania (you can't cut these one, but rather pay your workers to get them cut after doing Royal Trouble.)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So, without doing quests, you can cut Teak near Uzer and southwest of Castle Wars only, and you have no access to Mahogany at all.

Or you can mine gems in Shilo illage and sell them for 35-40 trading sticks each in Tai Bwo Wannai.
