Jewx2
Hi everyone- Soon I will be getting a new 500gb harddive and I figure I will get a new video/graphics card and processor while I'm at it. If more details are needed, they can be provided.. seeing as I cannot locate my graphic card's specs.. Does anyone have software recommendations? Here are my current [cruddy] system components: Thanks.
blade995
I'm afraid that computer is too old to get a new processor. Unless you manage to find a pentium3 on ebay but those only go to 700mhz, maybe higher. It says your computer has an agp slot so you can upgrade the graphics but they are expensive and outdated compared to the new pci-express cards. It may not even be 8x agp and only 4x which would be a big bottleneck.
Jewx2
Thansk for the help. In that case, I will probably end up getting a new system. #-o
nomar04
Ya, you should really get a new computer. Adding 500 gigs to that would kind of be a waste, because it's too slow to do anything that would need that much memory.

I have a 400mhz celeron that ran XP home decently well. Although it did have 512mb of ram. The operating systems are more ram dependent than anything.
