I'm at the end and got killed the first time I went to face demon. I had full rune, rune warhammer, lobbies galore, and prayer pots. I turned on protect from magic and went after the demon and got killed faster than I could eat a lobby! I re-equiped myself, got a nice load out and went back again. This time I made sure both protect from Magic and Melee were on. Attacked demon and BOOM hit me twice at the same time and dead before I got one blow on him. Litterally less than a second after clicking on "Attack Demon". What am I doing wrong!? I'm level 67 btw. Anybody got any rune weapons for sale? Italian5kamikaze Posted August 8, 2007 Share Posted August 8, 2007 I think your supposed to turn protect from mage on and range it, or go east behind the bridge and let the gnomes do most the damage then go in for the final hit. Also you cant turn both on at the same time lol, so just range with mage on and you're safe Quest cape obtained at combat level 83, march 07. I'm all out! :) If I remember right, when I fought him, I kept my distance with protect from magic on and ranged him to death. A lot of people suggest that you run far away from the demon, let the gnomes wear him down to almost nothing, and then run in at the end to finish him off (I have never tried this method personally). I have no idea how you managed to die with both mage and melee prayer on. Ditch the lobsters for sharks. Let the gnome range him for about a minute or two and use a magic shortbow special after waiting. The Gnomes get him down to no lower than 7 hits, so just to play it safe, bring about 10-20 rune arrows in case you have horrible luck. It just goes to show that, though there's an age requirement, there's no IQ requirement to play RS.Wait, my friend said he got a keylogger and lyke he coudln't type, so I assumed it messed up his hands? The threadstarter said the following: "This time I made sure both protect from Magic and Melee were on." Assuming that this is true, I couldn't understand how the threadstarter could have died to the demon since it only attacks with melee and magic. I just checked the kbase and it states that it is not possible to use both prayers at the same time (I had never tried personally) so that explains a lot.
