can't get my battered key back

I'm stumped on how i am supposed to get a battered key back at the moment, and I need to get back into the elemental workshop. I have done all the quests so there's no problem there. I am positive it isn't in my bank or on a key ring. I checked EVERY bookcase around the workshop starting with the one that did actually give me a slashed book, but no key. I attempted using a knife on the slashed book but that yielded nothing. I went to my house and got a battered book, however upon using a knife on it I received nothing once again. I tried using the books on the door/wall. I tried using my empty key ring on the door/wall. I am stumped quite frankly and could use some help please.

its probably hidden in your bank somewhere.. things always get lost in banks

You seacrh the bookcase whihc originally gave u the battered book

It should give u the book and the key.

 

 

 

If it doesn't its a biug and u should report it to jagex

i know for a fact it's not in my bank, as my bank is close to being bare. and i tried all those things so i guess i'll report a bug...

I know this topic is old as hell,but i´m having the same problem.Maybe you could tell me how you got the key back?

 

 

Edit: Found out how to get it back.

You have to start the elemental workshop II to get the book along with the key.
