What kind of rat, and where, do I kill to get the rat bone?

I know the giant rats work, there are some to the east of Varrock, west of the digsite (on the path)

EDIT: On second thoughts I think only a giant rat will do.

 

Just got one from a normal rat in the sewers, so there goes that thought.
