smithing calculator

hi all,

 

i just tried to use the smith skill calculator and put in that i had 19825 exp (lvl33) and need to get to 48(steel pl8body)(hi alch) and i put in smith and smelt and it said that i need appr. 1700 iron. I know iron has a 50% success rate so does that 1700 iron include that success rate or do i need to get twice that?

Oops, mis-read your post.

 

 

 

That's 1700 iron ore successfully smelted and smithed. So that's without the success rate. You'll need about 3400 iron ore if you're going to do that. Or just buy the iron bars yourself, or if you're a member, use an enchanted ruby ring (ring of forging) to achieve a 100% smelting rate with iron.

The calculator supposes you successfully smelt all of the iron, so, if you aren't using Rings of Forging (p2p only) you'd have to get around twice as much iron as the calculator says.
