champion
Ok, so, today I went to play Runescape. On the main playing screen was a little box thing in the top left corner with a circle, square, and a triangle (ya know, that little icon?). Then a thing came up saying to play that I needed to install J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 update 12.0 or something like that. The publisher was Sun Microsystems Inc. But the box said "Are you sure you want to download this? It may harm your computer." So, I'm pretty sure I'm just paranoid, but I don't want to mess up the computer. Is this safe to download? (I can't play RS without it.)
Cruiser
Yes it's safe. You can either install it using the window that poped up when you tried loading RS or you can install it directly from the Sun website. You should probably just skip it and install Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 2 (4th option down the page) instead of upgrading to an older version. Version 6 update 2 is the latest.
