It depends on your range level.

 

 

 

Max hit for Iron is something like

 

MaxHit = (Range + 15)/9

 

So, an estimate for the average Hit would be

 

HitDone = MaxHit/2

 

The exp earned is

 

Exp = HitDone*4

 

so putting it all together would be

 

Exp ~= 2000*(Range + 15)/9

 

assuming that you don't gain any Range levels from the

 

gained exp as you use up those 1k arrows.

 

 

 

Finally, if you pick up your arrows then you can get

 

about 4000 shots out of those 1000 arrows...
