August 28, 200718 yr i dont understand why, but probly in the middle of summer this started, really my pc will overheat if i dont put a fan right next to it, i was wondering if theres a problem with the cooling system, wich i think is the problem but im not sure. i am starting to think there is dust build up in the back vent causing air to stay inside and not circulate, i just am not sure what i should do. August 28, 200718 yr If you know how just open up your computer case, remember to turn it off first :P , and clean the fans and heatsink(s) with some "kitchen paper" or toiler paper. Otherwise I advise to let someone else do it. If it isn't fixed turn off any overclocking options and/or buy an additional fan. - Back to casual f2p scaping due to limited time (university and girlfriend ) -
August 28, 200718 yr use compressed air (dust off, etc) to clean the vents, if that doesn't work open the case and point a small fan into it, then consider a new comp fan/cooling system. August 29, 200718 yr Download a program called fan speed. See which part are heating up the most (using the temp monitoring features) and post back here with the results.
