Fire giant strategies??

Featured Replies

I'm working on my ranging goal (siggy) and I wanted to know if there were any tricks to killing them. I know the safespots but was just wondering if there were other beneficail things. Thanks

If your killing them in Waterfall dungeon then its pretty straight forward, other than you have to use the safespot near the door for about 20 mins before the firegiants become unaggressive so you can range around the table.

Also since you didnt give any information on how you plan to range them or where. remember to bring ava's accumulator and if your using knives remember to bring a msb and arrows to use up that spec.

Thanks. I got Ava's device and am looting some iron knives from my m8 at Lutha's training grounds. I don't wanna waste cash on a full zammy book so I am going to bring my guthix book. I think that guthix is it worth it as well.

Just got 70 range =). Going for 87.

Most people over-look this, but using a x-bow with Pearl Bolts (e) will do extra damage on the special attacks. The special for these bolts is the waterfall effect. Whenever this effect occurs, more damage will be dealt to fire monsters. This includes fire giants.

It is also imporant to note that Fire Giants seem to eat iron items, meaning that if you use an arrow, knife, bolt, etc.. of iron level or lower, you can expect to lose a mass number to these giants. I find that steel works quite effectively.

Also, there is a somewhat universal safespot in the Western room. The safespot is 2 steps East of the armour that sits on the floor. This is a good safespot to range the giants while they are aggressive towards you. You have access to nearly, if not all the giants, and are protected from both sides.

Good luck, and hope to see you there in W99. :)
