but is it possible to have all 4 hilts and a plain god sword, add a hilt then remove the hilt, and add a different one? ..

 

so all you need is 1 god sword and 4 hilts, no buying extra god swords?

Without a hilt it's just a blade, and can't actually be used ;) But yes, you can change the hilts at anytime. :)
