Anti-lag guide

Featured Replies

Okay, this really works for me and I believe it should work for other dial-up users. Not so sure about broadbanders.

1. Log in to RS.

2. Do NOT press 'Click here to Play' button.

3. Disconnect you connection while in pre-game screen. (2 small flashing monitors is icon on the taskbar near the clock I believe).

4. Connect your connection.

5. Log in to RS and press 'Click here to Play' button.

That's it. It lowered my lag ~40%. I barely lag now, unless there is like 200+ opts in one place, like W16 Air running.

Again sorry if this doesn't work for you, I just thought I would post this incase this really works not only for me.

If it doesn't work, just delete this... Move if this is in the wrong forum please.

Shouldn't you post this in Player made guides? I don't feel it's much of a question.

Yea maybe. I just thought if a player is having lag issues he/she would come here and see this instead of posting another thread ^^

DO you know how can I move it ?

I don't think you can move it yourself. Ask a mod to do it it.

You simply release and freshen up your ip. If you have lag thats a good way to help against it.

Ya it refreshes your IP from the lag

another way to stop lag on any type of internet speed is to stop those ads from playing and lowering the quality. If its a flash ad, just right-click on it and you can choose to stop some of them from playing, and the go to quality and choose low. If it's not, then you can reload frame, and keep doing this until you get a flash one. Sometimes if you reload it, nothing will come up at all, a big life saver :P
