Denismage
I have an Intel Celeron D 330 processor which is overclocked to ~3.3 Ghz, ~166 MHz Bus speed and ~663 MHz Rated FSB. Every time I run a Super Pi test, the minute count is ALWAYS higher when my computer has just been restarted and idle, rather than if it has worked for a few hours. My score is 1 minute and 13 seconds when I run the test after the restart, only with memturbo and outpost firewall running in the background. Later I ran utorrent and speedfan as well as memturbo and outpost firewall and went away for a few hours. I came back and ran the test again, and to my surprise I've gotten a score of 58 seconds! 58 seconds with all the programs running in the background! This is outrageous, what could be causing this? ^Right after restart Launched speedfan, launched utorrent, left the computer on for a few hours. blade995
Well it could be that you are starting the test before the computer is fully loaded up. It may look and feel loaded to you but XP will load some stuff in the background for a while afterwards.

I thought so too before I found out cpu becomes slower some time after the screen saver is disrupted. Sorry I didn't post it in the original post.
