fmv_hero
I have already made a topic on the rs official forum, but i feel like i might get some support by posting here as well. here's the quick find code if you're interested 24-25-37-51863358 On the RS forums Hello, i really like doing quests and the achievement diaries that have been made so far. But, looking at the quest log and achievement diaries has given me an interesting idea... an additional diary/log; a bestiary containing elementary information about monsters that you have defeated. Information would include * How many of this monster you have defeated * Aggressive/non aggressive * Examine detail * Hitpoints * Possibly item drops * Possibly defence and attack bonuses the details given i think should not completely strip down the monster by giving it's defence points or attack bonuses. I would like for this to be as it would give me a great advantage against monsters so i could battle them more efficiently but this may make the bestiary too over-powered. like adding a "drop x" function to your inventory. Item drops would be pretty cool, but i would need your input regarding this. if it would be acceptable, or overpowering. Monster addition would happen only after you have defeated the monster, or even better. after defeating a set number of them. the easier like rats and bats would be around 20 while you'd only have to defeat one Tz-Tok Jad. this bestiary could even be further expanded by making it sort of like a skill, where if you have defeated all of the monsters and have had their information written in your book, that you would have the opportunity of buying a skill cape. some monsters i think should NOT be in the book if you cant fight them again after doing a quest. say fighting fareed or the culinaromancer etc. OR these could be automatically added to the diary if you've already defeated them so that the opportunity of completing the bestiary isn't gone. i know that there are better ways of providing this monster information. but what i'm implying here is personal goals. just about anyone can find out how to make an amulet of fury... but not everyone HAS made one. Tennis_Ace
Umm, tip.it has the best bestiary around. Why do you want another one?
fmv_hero
i know, i love the tip.it bestiary. i'm sorry that i didnt make this clear that the main purpose of this bestiary is to obtain all of the data for the monsters by killing them so you can complete the book and have an opportunity to buy a skill cape, like the quest skill cape. it might be possible for it done creatively so it didnt clash too much with a more efficient bestiary where you don't need to kill the monster to have drop info/hp/etc. EDIT: or, it could just be sort of a "monster checklist" then. this cape would be really annoying to get because you'd need friends to help with the un-soloable monsters like GWD bosses or the KBD

fmv_hero
ouch. i wasn't condoning a drop x function, and explain further why the cape would be nooby? i can see that it would be along the same lines as quest or cooking or fletching. but you could say the same about any skillcape, like construction i think is respectable, but someone else says that it's easy because it can be bought. same for crafting.
