Crossbows and accumulator

Featured Replies

Sorry for making another topic, but i find no one looks in a topic they have already seen, so posting another question there wont help.

So here is what i am asking:

would ian accumulator pick up iron bolts?

Because atm im tempted to get a book of balance or unholy book, then use a rune crossbow for the high range bonuses. Crossbows also seem to hit higher? even if less frequent.

Does anyone know if a crossbow can fire as far as a bow?

And what are the damages compared to arrows?

Thanks.

Yes, an accumualtor can pick up all types of bolts as long as there is no wall in the way. Crossbows can hit higher than bows. Say if you are using a magic shortbow and iron arrows compared to a rune crossbow and iron bolts, you would hit higher with the crossbow.

Adding gem boltips to your bolts can also boost its max hit. Enchanting will also give it a special effect that will do some damage.

Crossbows can hit as far a long bow on normal shot according to my knowledge.

Hope this helps you ::'

Thanks man!

This did help indeed.

I was wondering in your personal opinion though, better to go for a crystal bow? or use a rune crossbow with rune bolts (perhaps tipped or enchanted?) + a book of balance / unholy book.

Thanks man.

I'm pretty sure rune crossbow is more accurate and hits higher (Using mith bolts+) than C bow 75% of the time. I went to kill black dragons using both methods (starting with 9/10 for c bow), and the c bow seems to hit more often and faster than teh c bow.

IF you want to go monster killing like steel and iron dragons. I suggest addy bolts with diamond or ruby tip, both enchanted

The Ruby enchanted effect takes off 20% of the enemy mosters' health but takes of 10% of yours. Good for killing steel dragons with their hephty hp.

Diamond has the chance to ignore you opponents range defence which is also good :D
