Just wondering how to get 58-63 smithing without losing too much money. I need it for Devious minds because I'm trying to get quest cape.

Buy 4k steel bars for 2400k.

 

 

 

Make them into 16k cannonballs.

 

 

 

Sell 16k cannonballs for 3200k.

Cannonballs are slow as heck but definitely most cost effective. I find it faster to mine gold and smelt with gold gaunts. You can then use gold for crafting or sell or whatever. Pure profit. Or buy gold for very fast exp.

Buy mith bars 1300-1500ea and smith them into mith bolts (you'll have to buy feathers to attach them, but they only cost 6ea). Then sell the mith bolts for 150ea.

buy iron ore and smelt it using your own rings of forging, then make iron knives, you can sell them to break even. Best method without losing money.

i used C balls to get to 63 smithing for the quest and it does make alot of money.... but it is hell! slow boring and makes you :wall:.

 

 

 

but the cash at the end is very nice

I like mining gold and smelting... But where should I mine gold? crafting guild? I'll also try out making iron knives
