Criminal intentions

well after a period of time again, i thought i'd post something here.

 

This isn't realy hard to make, but it was meant to be simple yet fitting the theme and the colors. Also if your wondering why everything is a bit covered: this was meant to look like this is what u see through the eyes of another person.

 

 

 

so i made this in about 10-15 minutes with a render and a stock:

 

 

 

 

please tell me if i spelled the whole name of it wrong :-k

 

 

 

I've also made a few minutes work site to show you how it could look like. (nothing special or so, because i made all off this -header+other design+site- in less then 30 minutes)

I agree, I also like it. For the border, I think a simple 1 pixel light brown one would be better. But I like it overall. :)

There's not much of your own work to comment on. Honestly, it looks like you took a comic off the net, pasted it, added some effects and called it "your" graphic.

 

 

 

With that aside, it has a very weak composition. The focal point is nothing special, you smacked it right into the centre and applied a fade to it. This just makes it stand out less and seem less important.

 

The text is a bit plain and doesn't really seem to add anything to the piece. It looks like you picked a random curvy font and moved it next to the guy with the gun.

 

The border looks like some sort of techno imitation and really doesn't work with the rest of the "mafia" design.

 

The large black empty spaces leads the eye to wander and makes things a bit boring.

 

 

 

I just don't see anything to marvel about (no pun intended). :-#

no i don't =) thanks for the criticism, a few things: i rendered this picture myself, because my friend just gave me 2 pics to use. I had to render out 1 and i chose to use the other 1 for the background. Also the render is only faded by the layer i used to give an bit of a effect to it :wink:

 

and about the text... your pretty much right, exept for the point he said to use this font :wink: .

 

and i didn't knew what to do with a border, so i just did something... on the piece he uses it already doesn't exists annymore, since he said almost the same :anxious:

In my opinion, there render has too much of this cloudy effect on top of it. It ruins the other-all design in my view. Make the render stick our more and I think it would look a lot better.
