mujammil Posted October 21, 2007 Share Posted October 21, 2007 Well hey guys, Last night i saw someone around my level cmb 91 and saw him wielding a BGS and i was like :shock: i asked him where did he get the cash for it and he replied mage staking so then i thought to myself, hmm im 87 combat he's only 4levels above and hes got a BGS so... He is 85 mage so now im thinking of getting my mage up and to go mage staking and maybe one day i could afford a BGS :shock: Anyway i was wondering what is the fastest / cheapest way to get to 82 mage therefore i could use ice blitz, i dont want to spend more than 3mill and was wondering if there is any other options than high alching. I've heard a lot of hype about MTA and was wondering if it is cheaper than high alching yew longs,if so how much and is it slower? I have never mage staked before and might se if i can contact this uy and ask him for some tips but since i made this topic i may aswell ask you lot to :thumbsup: I would prefer to get comments from some mage stakers on tip.it but do feel free to comment =] So i was wondering what would be best to ice blitz and freeze them than use blood blitz, or to just use ice blitz all the way. I was also wondering what would be better mage stak9ing no armour or with, i presume no armour would be the best because someone might just put d hide on and pwnt me :? and finally this is sorta a wierd question but what do u actually shout out when ur in the arena lol ? do you shout out mage staking or do you not want to give that away? lol Well thats all said and done so please feel free to comment and wish me luck on my way to millions :thumbsup: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

About staking: I wouldn't suggest you to use Ancient Magic at that lvl, but rather god spell - Zamorak since it lowers mage. Always remember to charge your zammy spell while the 3-2-1 count down is running. Don't fight with obs on, since you don't have ancient and proberly arn't very good at Safespoting. Ehm, start with low stakes so you can see what mage/def lvl you stand a chance against. And remember magic is like 60% of magic def - and don't fight with armour unless you have the best there is. BUT ALWAYS REMEMBER TO WEAR ZAMORAK STAFF AND CAPE IN EVERY STAKE! Ask if you need more info. Check my 99/99 magic - 99/99 ranged 88 hp - 71 combat blog! And I would get higher hp if I were you, since that's like the most important stat in Duel Arena. Check my 99/99 magic - 99/99 ranged 88 hp - 71 combat blog! At your Combat, hardcore stakers WILL HAVE 90+ Ranged or Magic, so make sure you look them up before staking. You'll get pwned to hell if you're doing Armor Off and Movement Off as a mage. Magic_Shad3 Posted October 21, 2007 Share Posted October 21, 2007 Dude the thing is - I am 99 magic btw so I am experianced with mage staking - when a zammy guy lowers your mage you can really see it in your hits. So for example if I am using Blood Barrage and someone hits me with zammy it lowers my mage to 94 which makes me splash my BB ALOT - even more than I normally does. This is why I suggest you to get 90+ magic, because then burst will still hit often even if you get hit by FoZ (Flames of Zamorak) I would suggest having at least 10 lvls more than the magic spell you want to use - this is why FoZ is so good since you can cast it at lvl 60 - but remember you still need the lvl 80 charge :!: And I would say all (or atleast 95% of all) mage stakers has 85+ magic. Xeones Posted October 21, 2007 Share Posted October 21, 2007 OK, so basically, get 87 Magic. When fighting a Ranger/Warrior, use Ice Blitz and Blood Blitz. When fighting a Mage higher than 80 Magic, use Charge and Flames of Zamorak and pray for the first hit. I still think you won't win much since you're high combat and relatively low Magic. OFF-TOPIC: After learning all this, it seems as if Flames of Zamorak is EXTREMELY overpowered in terms of PvP. Someone with 94 Magic for Vengeance/Ice Barrage can become useless after one hit of FoZ??? So goddam unfair... I wish Jagex would change it so that the spell you can cast is based on your BASE Magic level and not your CURRENT one. GAY. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Magic_Shad3 Posted October 21, 2007 Share Posted October 21, 2007 If you want to make big money in staking - make a dds pure. 60 att - 99 str - 80+ hp .. this is by far the best and easiest way to earn money in Duel Arena AND 1 PRAYER OF COURSE - for pures prayer is useless at Duel Arena.
