Steel bars?

I was just wondering.. most people say they buy steel bars to turn into platebodys.

 

 

 

But like don't bars cost 610 ea? and like u need 5 for a plate.

 

 

 

But high alch plate is only 1200 so u lose like 1.8k. So what do they do with those steel bodies? or if im mistaken, what do they do with those bars?

Most people who make profit mine the steel and coal themselves.

 

Steel bodys by buying steel is faster experience than say cannon balls but you lose the profit aspect. They jsut alch them to gain mage exp and minimize loss.

Buying steel bars to make into platebodies is strictky for experience because it is fast.

 

 

 

Buying steel platebodies for 1k to alch for 1200 is for Alching. Mages buy from the people who used the above method in order to lose less per alchemy.

You would still lose money as a f2per cause you would have to buy the nats at about 300ea.
