Can't play Runescape for some reason. PLZ HELP.

Hey guys, i'm new to these forums and i'm in desperate need to get my account playable again. I want to subscribe to member again but every time when i log in and i click the button that says "click here to play" it like freezes and at the top left corner it says "connection lost, Please wait-trying to reestablish connection." This happens every time i try to play. Ive tried other accounts to see if its just that one but its the same thing with them also. I don't know why this is happening so PLEASE HELP with my situation. I REALLY want to subscribe to member again but if i can't even play on my account whats the point?!

Possibly your firewall may be blocking connections to and from RuneScape. Open your firewall and put it in your allowed/trusted/white list (or whatever your firewall calls it) and see if that helps.

your internet might not be good enough. that happens quite a bit if you have dial-up. either that or your computer is old although it doesnt take much to run runescape. try downloading the latest verion of java

how would i go about doing that? i wouldn't know where to put the port numbers in... I have McAfee

I really dont know how to help you sorry. :? BUT, you should send a message to jagex via the main page to tell them your problem. I'm sure they could do something about it.

Try these in order

 

1. You might need to upgrade your java Download java

 

 

 

2. Its blocked by a firewall of some kind. If you have service pack 2 on windows xp. go to control panel and click on windows firewall, if you cant see it go to switch to classic view, turn off the firewall.

 

 

 

3.go to McAfee and see if theirs a exception tab or something, might be in the options(i don't have McAfee) and put http://www.runescape.com in the exception list, also try unblocking java in your options of mcafee and your internet browser.

 

 

 

4.last thing you can do is go to Runescape help and if that doesn't work send them a email.
