How do I find my WEP key?

Featured Replies

Well I've tried going to 192.168.1.1 to get into the ISP site. I try to use "admin" as the username and "password" as the password, and I'm having trouble. I type in one letter, and three *'s come up. I'm not sure how to log in. :|

Any advice is appreciated.

That maybe normal that 3 *'s come up for every character input as a security measure, just keep typing as you normally would and try to log in.

Your WEP password would be in your router's settings page (which is what you are trying to access currently, not your ISP's).

If you do not know what the user name and password are for the router you will need to reset it, theres usually a little button in the back that you hold in with a pen to do so. This will reset all your settings so you would have to set everything up again, including your wireless security. I would also recommend changing your password from the default config because it's very dangerous to keep it that.
