8omega8 Posted November 7, 2007 Share Posted November 7, 2007 hey guys, how are we i've hit a dillema on on what do do with my pure, and am wondering if you guys can help a brother out. my current stats are of follows attack 40 strength 40 defense 1 hitpoints 58 prayer 1 mage 41 ranged 68 combat 47 im planning on getting ranged up to around the 80 level mark and attack and strength somewhere around 70-80, i'm just wondering if i should level up defence to 20, 45, 25 or just keep it at one. ps. im a bloke that digs my runecrafting so i'd wanna be snagging a few levels at the zmi cheers guys Fire Cape attempts - 3 | No Cigar Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Nopheo Posted November 7, 2007 Share Posted November 7, 2007 If you are f2p then keep atk at 40. If you are p2p get it to 60 for drag weapons and sit on that lvl. I am guessing this pure is for wildy use only. Keep pray and def at 1. Train up str and range and mage up to where they hold equal lvl. Then you can do any combo. Looks like you wanna do range, str pure. So if you are f2p get str and range up to where you hold equal cb then use the bow 2h method. If you are p2p then same stats but use what range you like and dds or scimmy as primary and msb/dark bow for the kill. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Tired_souls Posted November 7, 2007 Share Posted November 7, 2007 am sorta gonna agree on the above about att/def/pray But... if your going for 80 range then get str to 80 as well because both skill wont affect your cb lvl much as for mage keep it at least 2 lvls lower then 80 so 78 would be good this would put u at maybe 70-75 hits at 60-65 combat (am just guessing on pure luck depending how your train as well) good luck Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

However, str cannot always equal range/mage and keep the same combat lvl. Look at the combat calc on tip.it and find when you need to raise each stat to keep them together. Magic_Shad3 Posted November 7, 2007 Share Posted November 7, 2007 F2p: 50 att (So you can hit rune pures + G maul if you are just becoming p2p a few times) 99 str 1 def 1 prayer 85+ hp You could try to keep 40 attack but it's kinda hard to hit against rune P2P 60 att 99 str 1 def 1 pray 85+ hp 99 ranged/magic both f2p and p2p - Don't get ancient (since you need 11 to get it), since Teleblock and entangle will work great with your stats - and you can properly find a team that has ancient:D + smite btw) And be aware 99 magic isn't rly needed f2p. viral_wulf Posted November 7, 2007 Share Posted November 7, 2007 I just wanted to say (and you might already know this) - If you do decide to raise your defense, do so by doing quests that give defense experience. This will allow you to get things like barrows gloves without going over your target defense level. Once you raise your defense, there is no going back. The ideal situation is to try pking while your defense is at one and then decide from there. The bummer about this is, life is easier with high defense. 8omega8 Posted November 8, 2007 Author Share Posted November 8, 2007 cheers for the replies guys, but im not really looking forward to pking too much, just going to be a staker mainly, hence the 1 prayer, gonna be a member pretty soon, and looking forward to finally ditching the maple short :D obviously this is a currently a work in progress, but the finishing stats i'm trying to get eventually are atk - 85 str - 82 def - 1/20/25/45 prayer - 1 mage - 80ish, not too fussed to be honest range - 85/88 hp - as high as possible, somewhere around 80-85 - with def at 1, ill be 75 combat, give or take a couple depending on hp - with def at 20, ill be on around 80 combat - with def at 25, ill be sitting on 81 combat - with def at 45, ill be on 86 combat i'm leaning towards 20 def later on when my stats are higher Fire Cape attempts - 3 | No Cigar Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
