dsavi
Well first of all on your website I strongly suggest you use punctuation instead of making big long tiring sentences like this because then I have found that nobody at all takes you seriously at all so if you make sentences like this you might as well forget it. Second of all, the Admins might be able to help. (Don't know if they want to :? ) I haven't tried this program, but it's called Komposer (No spelling mistake there, so yes, with a k). Also, having lots of money helps as well as knowlege of php, javascript and HTML.
JoeDaStudd
For best web designing software is Dreamweaver although it costs a fair bit. I would try NVU first and if you decide to go down the text coding route try Notepad++. You'll also want to get a good FTP client, if you use firefox then try the FireFTP plugin. Apart from the software you will need three other things; *A host *A domain name *Time If you try a free host like freewebs you can try out web design free of charge. Errdoth
Step 1) Don't. There are already g(64) runescape fansites that get 1 or 2 visits a month; and there are already several established fansites, this one included, that people are going to choose to go to over yours because they are already established and have all of the information already. Unless you can offer something that all these established sites don't already have, what initiative do people have to visit your site instead of sites like tipit, where they have pretty much everything. Anyway, if you really want to, I would assume you have no idea about web design? You'd probably want a WYSIWYG, so that you could use it to "make" things like tables and stuff, and then learn from the code. (Hey, that's how I got started =) ) If you want your site, or any site in general, to be successful, you need to keep the layout nice, and clean. There are only some things a WYSIWYG can do. And for your particular site to even remotely work out, you need to learn html/xhtml before you attempt anything, you would hopefully have a team of people to help you out, and before you even get started, you have to think, Why would someone want to visit my site over tipit or any of the other established sites? nvu would be a good free wysiwyg editor, and if you could afford dreamweaver (even at student price : ) .I only use it now because it has syntax highliting, and that little function drop down thing which is a big time saver when you're writing giant blocks of code :P Last.fm Signature Overlays
