lord_troyus
Ok PJ'ing means "Player Jumping", and can take several forms. A common form is where a mage is holding a meleer off with holding spells and farcasting him. A "Pjer" will run in and hit the mage hoping too kill them before they can put up a suitable defense. Another form is after a player has killed another. They will be looting/about too loot the corpse and another player will attack them hoping too kill them while in a weaker state. Both of these usually take place in single combat areas and are considered dishonourable by some as it takes advantage of a weaker position. I find that Pjing is dishonourable if a meleer attacks a mage and resorts too calling in a friend too help him E.G in the 1st term. Hope that helps, and im sure there are other ways it can be used http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=e_cLCibqSxk&fmt=18 -- Lord_Troyus - This is PvP
omnitrophe
Well. If you pj, you probably do it either when the other one is on the winning side against his/her opponent, has already killed him/her, or the opponent has ran. In the first case, you make the people you pj unable to get the kill. In the second case he's probably low on food and picking up his/her loot, when it's quite sad to try killing the one picking the loot (it would be honorable to ask for a fight). In the third case, the opponent is low on food, and you have the upper hand on him, and the spots you're starting from are not fair. This gets us to the point, that you think that wilderness is dishonorable place. Wrong, it is what we make it be. In my opinion you shouldn't go dishonorable, because that will make the other people do the same. wtf

But what I don't get is why pures whine about it when people are just trying to PK with an advantage just as the pures have over mains with the same combat. Or why they would fight me if I tried to PJ someone. Maybe I worded it wrong or something of that nature, I was trying to multi-task and get the post made quickly. I apologize. fightermanX
honour is stupid. why shouldn't I grab the chance to kill someone easily? lots of pures are calling you words for eating your food, having defence, etc. so if they think they could call everyone words, why aren't they 'superior' and just survive?? Give me a good example of the concept of honor put into play in a real life situation.. go ahead. You can't! The concept of honor is a thing of the past. Along with the Chivalric code, etc etc. Don't mistake generosity and caring for others as honor. I live a sad existence? You're trying to prove someone wrong on an point thats has no reason to be brought up. I was stating a point and I stand by it. How about you stick to the topic next time. When Sparta conquored Athens, almost all of the people of Sparta wanted to destroy greece, and expceially Athens. The king, decided to spare them due to their valiant effort together, and seperatly agenst the persians. Im actually surprised when you said there was no honor in life. It proves how miserable your is... But onto the topic.... How would you feel if you just got a whip PK, suddenly a Pjer runs up with dds, 1 hit dead. You just went though alot of skill and training to k0 that guy, and a 1 itmer with a dds runs up and takes it away from you. You decide. Dungeoneering isn't a skill. Ive had the same thing happen towards me also, in a marathon back in 1998, i was running a close second when i collapsed from heat and asthma, kyle, the guy coming first who id never even met stopped running, came back and helped me walk to the finish line, we came a tie for last. That was very generous of you and the marathon man, however I see no honor in those situations just a couple of very thoughtful people. Anyway back on topic. Apparently, my signature was to big. Laikrob
Locked per author's request. Laikrob, Tip.It Moderator You're accusing me of bigotry, how ironic. It's a nice attempt at argument, but your responses are facile and asinine, if not diatribe. Who's arrogant now?
