everdream86
hello, I had a few questions about using paybycash for runescape members. I really want to become a member without my parents finding out. I have the money I'm ready to pay. I was thinking about using a money order. If I use money order, is there a 100% chance my parents will never find out? Or are there some payments were my parents will never find out? (note I'm only 15 so I don't have a credit card, etc) Also, anyone using paybycash out there. have you ever been contacted by paybycash by telephone or postal? I just wanted to be contacted by my email. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

M6c_Magnum
Money orders are non-trackable I'm pretty sure :) Sorta like cash, not much like a check [/bads]
everdream86
When I go to obtain a money order from the post office? will they require any personal information from me? the last thing I would want is my parents finding out about this. No_99_Melee
did u read my post. Use a gift card that you buy from like a mall or something. Or get a debit card it's not hard.
M6c_Magnum
You can get a money order from the Grocery Store or the Post Officer, either works, usually. There is no ID required and no personal information needed. It costs a bit of money for them to make the money order, remember, too. So if it is for like $10, they may charge from like $10.50 to $11.50 :) [/bads]

Yes, that is a very good idea. But, those will be harder for me to access for various reasons. I'll keep that in mind. Thank you though

M6c_Magnum
Do you have to send any personal information to use PayByCash? I have never used it, so I don't know. Getting the money order = parents would definitely not find out, unless they found a receipt you kept (lol you're fault and you would deserve them finding; plus, even if they did find a receipt, say you got the M.O. for a friend's BDay or something, lol) If you have to send personal information to PBC, they might contact you (to say your registration was successful or to say you need to renew, etc), but I doubt that will happen. If you enter no information, they could never send you anything, so of course parents = never know. :) Delete the history of this thread, too, lol [/bads]
Altricious
I've never used pay by cash, so I don't know. You should read through all the billing FAQ's on the RS site. There are definitely different prices depending on payment method. Using a credit card to create a monthly subscription would be the cheapest. You can use any mall issued gift card that has a Visa or MC logo on it the same as a normal credit card. You can also get those "green dot" cards at convenience stores and such. Those work just like credit cards and are Visa or MC too. You can find locations at this site: http://www.greendotonline.com I think this would actually be easier for you since you're going to have to go somewhere to get a money order anyway. Once you have the card, you can do the rest all from your computer. The subscription definitely does not involve any contact beyond email. If you still want to do the money order, then the post office is generally the cheapest place to get one. Some stores charge several dollars and the post office usually charges less than $1. If you're confused on how they work or need some help, PM me.

Kahote
I laughed reading this thread. Would you mind explaining what is so wrong with your parents finding out? "You're pro or you are a noob.......that's life." - Athene
