blade995 Posted December 2, 2007 Share Posted December 2, 2007 That is a big problem right there. The ntldr is one of the main files that loads the rest of the operating system. This was probably done by a virus, unless somebody messed around in the Windows directory. The best way to fix this is to get your Windows cd out and do a repair install. das1330 Posted December 2, 2007 Share Posted December 2, 2007 WOW! I just had this problem myself today. Go to http://tinyempire.com/notes/ntldrismissing.htm and follow the instructions there. It shouldnt require a re installation of the OS in most situations. I used an external usb floppy drive and the floppy solution method mentioned on the site.
