Lateralus Posted December 14, 2007 Share Posted December 14, 2007 Just a quick post about a band I've been listening to a lot lately. Glasvegas is the name, a 4 piece from Glasgow. If I had to compare them to anyone it would be the likes of the Jesus and Mary Chain, Inspiral Carpets - All that lot. Basically it's post-punkish music with doo-wop style vocals sung in a thick Glasgow accent. They're one of the most genuine bands I've heard in a while and the lyrics capture the Scottish attitude perfectly I think (Go Square Go, Floo'ers and Fitba Tops). http://www.myspace.com/glasvegas If you only listen to one track, make it Daddy's Gone.
