How do I get regular cable Television on my 58 inch Maxent Plasma. It does not have a coaxial inlet, so how the hell do I get cable tv on this monster!? It has 2 HDMI sockets, so I'm guessing we have to buy a Satellite tuner or something?

It really doesent have a coax input? In that case you need somthing that either converts the signal to HDMI or a cable box. I use a HD Tivo with my TV, but a cable box will work fine.

You need to get the cable box from your cable provider. Make sure it's a high def cable box. Then hook it up to your TV with HDMI.

Cable boxes are usually supplied by your cable company when you get a digital cable pack. They take the digital signal, which is encrypted to prevent people from stealing it, and they convert the signal to one usable by your TV. A Tivo is a device which allows the recording, pausing and replaying of TV shows. It lets you pause live TV, record entire seasons of shows you like and will automatically record shows it thinks you will like based on what you have told it to record before. Between the two, I HIGHLY recommend a Tivo. Its a bit more expensive, but its amazingly useful.

 

 

 

The reason they didn't include a coaxial port was because they probably didn't think that anyone would watch standard definition cable on such a beautiful TV.
