Okay, so my smithing is a bit low (58). I was wondering where the best place is to mine coal. The only places that i know of are the mining guild and coal trucks which can get too crowded.

The best place is the Mining Guild by far, close to a bank and fairly deserted, especially in f2p.

I'm pretty sure coal trucks have better banking speed...

There are 2 mines that I know of that have quite an amount of coal. Number one is obviously the mining guild with 32 rocks and the Falador East Bank not far by. It does tend to get crowded at times, especially during mid-day. Another mine which I find quite effective is the Skeleton mines. Located just south of the Dark Warrior's fortress and located in level 8-9 wilderness, the skeleton mines are not as crowded. Here's the catch. It is in the wilderness, therefore, the skeletons surrounding the rock will be agressive and there is the possibility of being struck by a revenant ghost. The closest bank to that is the Edgeville Bank.

 

 

 

Edit: Another option for p2p is coal trucks in which you mine at the Kingdom of Kandarin and send the coal trucks out to northwest Seer's which you pick up and bank.

No, the mining guild is deserted in p2p. In f2p it is usualy crowded near capacity on many worlds.

 

 

 

The coal truks may have banking speed, but dosent that cost something (ore or money, I dont remember)

 

 

 

I would go with th emining guild. There is also the skeleton mine in the low wild, but with revanents that may be much more dangerous that usual. Still its low level so you could run, and it is never crowded. The number of coal there may exceed the mining guild.

 

 

 

Those are the 3 viable places I can think of.
