January 1, 200818 yr You are in Barrows. Whoa, how'd you get there? Anywhere, while there you hear using a new items helps you kill the brothers easier. However, you do not know it's cost. If you knew how much it cost, you would have no problem taking a trip to the GE to buy it. But you don't, so why go all the way to the GE to only MAYBE buy something? Now you are at PC (pretend you like it), while there you decide to use a fury instead of your glory. However, you don't know what the current price is. Should you go all the way to the GE? Is it worth it? You are in a Slayer Task, when there, you run out of strength potions. You decide to give yourself a treat and upgrade to super strengths. But how much do they cost? Is it worth going to the GE, or should you just use those regular strengths in your bank? In all of the above case (made up), the decision would be substantially easier if you knew the price for a particular item. Why must you be at the Grand Exchange to know this? How is it that the average Banker in RS can teleport you to the Party Room (and from any bank too. Port Playsmatys to Fally no runes!) but can't tell you the price of a yew log? If they can tell you some bub is dropping 4m in items, why can't they say that a charged glory is about 65k? I propose that talking to a banker gives you the option to check the price of an item. This is avalible at ANY bank. It would pop up a screen like the GE Buying Screen. Type in the name of the item, choose what it is, and it'll give you the price of that item, market price. (Not the 5% higher or lower though.) Now a quick trip to Burgh de'Rott will help you decide wheater to go to the GE to buy that item. A short jog from PC to go to the Void Knight Bank will give you the price of that fury. A little break from killing Jellies to the Zanaris Bank (Fairy Rings) will tell you how much a super strength is. I'd imagine this update would help me, and many other people a lot. I can think of no reason NOT to add it other that "it is a waste of time". And when you gotta run halfway across RuneScape just to check the price of an item I think we know what really is wasting time. Maybe some of you may say to ask a friend? Certainly and option, but your friends won't have the prices for all 2000 some items off the top of their heads. Nor will they all be doing exactly what you are, so they won't be able to inform you of the price. You will usually also be somewhat close to a bank. ~It's Super Effective! January 1, 200818 yr How about just a little thing on the front page. That would be nice. It would kinda make zybez's price guide useless, and it would be nice for the runescript owners, and players. Players could just pull up the page, irc chatters could still use the !price command and it would be accurate, and, seeing how Jagex doesn't really like zybez (Or any fansite really :S) , there goes one of the main reasons people go there.

I thought about that, but thing about it. Who really uses the Knowledge Base or QuestHelp on the main site? Does anyone actually read the Manual? I can tell you I do, and plenty others, but a majority doesn't. Therefore it would not be as effective. ~It's Super Effective! January 3, 200818 yr Total support. How many times did I go to GE and then found out can't afford it!? Too many.
January 3, 200818 yr Author Yup. It's not so much getting to the GE which is a problem, it's getting back. Although a GE Teleport, or item would probably be very useful. ~It's Super Effective! January 6, 200818 yr I think that a section of the main page would be great. Or even an external downloadable program from the main site? It would be much more convenient than the bank. It would also be nice if they recorded past price histories, so you can get graphs and info for the best deals... ~ W ~

It would also be nice if they recorded past price histories, so you can get graphs and info for the best deals... True it would be better on the main site, then you wouldn't have to leave your area at all. But I think it is a bit harder to keep it updated on the main site than in-game. Besides, it's already halfway in-game, why created a whole new section on the main site? As for the graphs... a new web page is already in the works which will allow you to track item prices over a long period of time. I suppose that also means this update will be added, just on the main site. But who knows what it will be like? Perhaps it won't be useful at all. I'm also sure a majority of people will not use it on the main site. ~It's Super Effective!
