If you think it is a waste, then don't do it and train PC. I personally like PC still, but I also don't mind ectoing my way to a few extra prayer levels. But since you put it that way, then I say PC. How long it would take depends on how quickly you gain points, and whether you use it at the 100 point bonus level. It would probably take awhile to get there, but if you enjoy PC then it would be worth it.
