I think this looks more like a charicature(sp?) than an actual rl portrait. I think the nose is a little large, but other than that I like it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

As for the painting, it look paintednot really realistic, but I think thats what you were going for.

Yeah lately I am going for fewer strokes, more results, less realistic in one sense, but more painterly.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The reason is that I am trying to get the basic form down, and I can do it more quickly this way. Once I get that aspect I might go back to approaching more realism. Actually...after checking some work today on Concept Art I might do some cell shading for a bit and then go back to more realism.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

At the moment I am tied to doing something pretty much everyday as I have a ca sketchbook now. So gotta keep working!
