Dire_Wolf Posted January 2, 2008 Share Posted January 2, 2008 I have Spyware Terminator, Spybot S&D, Spyware Doctor Hers the thing, Spyware doctor and Terminator has a way of protecting from viruses. Spyware Terminator: RealTimeShield Spyware Doctor : On Guard But i sense that when having Spyware doctor on, it slows my computer. So my question is, is there really nesscary with 2 shields? From my view i think not, but i need to confirm. Further more, i hope you can give me tips/advices how to prevent viruses and other sort of bad garbage. It's really only necessary to use it to scan your computer occasionally. I actually don't have any "spyware/virus" stopping software running at all. I just do occasional scans of my computer. I've seriously don't recall having any at all in the last year or so. All of the spyware/adware/virus stuff is way over hyped. If you use a safe browser, don't download anything unless you know what it is, stick to normal websites and don't click advertisements, then you'll most likely be fine. I do the same, and have maintained a perfect record when it comes to viruses.
