I have Spyware Terminator, Spybot S&D, Spyware Doctor

Hers the thing, Spyware doctor and Terminator has a way of protecting from viruses.

Spyware Terminator: RealTimeShield

Spyware Doctor : On Guard

But i sense that when having Spyware doctor on, it slows my computer. So my question is, is there really nesscary with 2 shields? From my view i think not, but i need to confirm.

Further more, i hope you can give me tips/advices how to prevent viruses and other sort of bad garbage. Small tips that might help that is ::'

Thank you

No, it's not entirely necessary. Spyware Doctor can take up a lot of resources to slow your computer down. It's really only necessary to use it to scan your computer occasionally. I actually don't have any "spyware/virus" stopping software running at all. I just do occasional scans of my computer. You can do the same and you'll probably be fine.

There's a great way to get a virus!

Viruses don't come from nowhere and I've never had a problem with them at all. I've seriously don't recall having any at all in the last year or so. All of the spyware/adware/virus stuff is way over hyped. If you use a safe browser, don't download anything unless you know what it is, stick to normal websites and don't click advertisements, then you'll most likely be fine.

I do the same, and have maintained a perfect record when it comes to viruses.

Yahoo answers is nice, but you'll get generally the same advice wherever you go (I'm a top contributor for programming and design, so I have something to brag about)
